  • At present interdisciplinary interest to the concept of “development” contributed to the emergence of various approaches that significantly enriched the development theory in economics and management. However, in modern science there is no single approach to understanding the processes of organization development.
    We sequentially consider the approaches of foreign scientists to organization development based on four change drives namely lifecycle drive, teleological, dialectical and evolutional drives. As the problems of globalization, ecological safety and balanced development remain relevant, we substantiate the idea of looking at sustainable development as the fifth change drive.
