  • We describe the main methodological approaches to conducting financial diagnostics of the company. The attention is focused on problematic aspects of financial diagnostics.
The decision-making process in a crisis situation often occurs in the state of uncertainty, the lack of understanding of the company's future work by founders, top managers and large creditors. The initial stage of the process of crisis financial management is the financial diagnostics of the company's crisis. After carrying out the diagnostic procedures using the data of financial analysis, an assessment of the situation is conducted to determine the degree of the threat of bankruptcy. The next stage of the process is to identify the problems revealed during the financial diagnostics. At the final stage, a management decision is made that becomes the basis of a system of measures to eliminate or minimize the damage from the financial crisis if full elimination is not possible.
