  • The research is dedicated to the concept of regulation within the category of management. The relevance of the study is determined by the authors’ intention to apply categorial analysis of the sociology of management to defining the concept of regulation. Therefore, the aim of the research is to determine the place, role and functions of regulation in the system of concepts used in sociology of management.
    We consider the main characteristics of regulation in the system of administration as a management form. We make the key conclusion that regulation is a specific kind of management based not on direct pressure but on recommendations and rewards for necessary actions and public reprimand of acts preventing necessary actions.
