  • The efficiency of public servants should be considered as an integral characteristic consisting of several components such as economic (the efficiency of spending budget funds including salaries and wages), social (social effect depending on living standard, customer satisfaction rate), labour (efficiency of performing direct duties).
    The introduction of a relevant system of assessing the efficiency of public servants based on competence approach will contribute to creating the basis for personal commitment to achieving socially important goals, effective performing of professional duties, optimal managerial decision-making.
    We look at problems connected with assessing the efficiency of public servants and prospects of applying competence approach in managerial structures of governmental bodies.
