  • We consider the process of transformation of the modern economic system that fits in the theoretical scheme of social modernization. Nevertheless, the revival of certain principles that served as the basis for traditional society and societal economy may turn to be an unexpected result of the renovation of the social and economic sphere.
    Analyzing the historic experience, we prove the idea that social modernization does not have to destroy traditional institutions and culture. In some sense, it can be a sort of “second wind” reviving the principle of societal economy and giving it a new sense.
