  • The article justifies the need for the search of new approaches to the formation of supranational and regional social and economic systems including the ones with implementation of resources potential of new EU and Russian Federation member states. The move is claimed to raise efficiency and competitiveness of European economy on global goods and services markets.
    The emphasis is put on the Baltic macro-region wherein it is necessary to form a reliable infrastructure (including LNG) for the most ecological type of hydrocarbons as the reserve natural raw providing risks insurance. Hence the North West region of the Russian Federation might become a real guarantor in providing its partners in Baltic macro region with this natural resource.
