  • Classification of regions by the level of food security allows to identify the factors affecting its level in each particular region and to develop measures aimed at its improvement. In this regard, it is important to develop a classification of the regions by the level of food security, as well as to work out a methodology for determining its level in order to develop measures aimed at stabilizing food security of the region and the country. The article presents the author's own definition of "types of the region as per the level of export". The authors analyzed the existing classification of regions as per the food security level and identified their shortcomings. On the basis of the analysis, proposals were made to improve the classification of regions by the level of food security.
