  • The article focuses on the process of formation of legal anthropology in modern Russia. It focuses on existing outlooks upon both the subject and the methodology of legal anthropology and performs correlation of the ones with the concepts of legal scholars representing different schools of understanding of law. It is noted that the formation of anthropology of laws in the domestic legal system is closely related to the penetration of European anthropological teachings into Russia.
