Creating Efficient System of Managing Human Resources in Regional Economy as One of Tools to Increase Quality of Life

We analyze the correlation between the level of socio-economic development and the quality of life in the region. The role of the system of managing human resources in increasing the quality of life is defined.

  • The increasing importance of human resources as a key resource of regional economy makes the topic of the research relevant. It results in the need to create in the region favorable conditions for reproduction and development of human resources of a certain territory, i.e. for improving the quality of life. We consider the main groups of indices characterizing the level and quality of life in the region, assess the level of socio-economic development and the quality of life in Leningrad region in comparison with other regions of the Russian Federation on the basis of the ranking of Russian regions according to their level of socio-economic development and the quality of life. We make a conclusion that there is a correlation between the level of socio-economic development and the quality of life in the region and suggest creating an efficient system of managing human resources as a measure to improve the quality of life.
