  • The relevance of the article is based on the ever increasing role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in both international and domestic business practice. The importance of developing CSR has been substantiated at different global and regional political conferences and summits, it has been supported by leading international organizations in terms of acknowledging its great importance for ensuring sustainable development of the international community.
    The article provides a legal definition of CSR and reveals specific features of CSR as a kind of legal responsibility. In the course of the study the concept of corporate social legal relations is introduced with its elements being singled out and the place of corporate responsibility being defined.
    The author draws a conclusion about CSR institution developmental trends and the ways of improving support of this type of legal responsibility.
