  • The theme of the article is relevant for the reason that in order to ensure implementation of the "Information Society" programm in the regions of Russia it is necessary primarily to overcome inequity in information infrastructure development. A major contribution to the development of information society at a regional level is being made through accepting funds from the federal budget and that is what this article is devoted to.
On the basis of statistical data from the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media over 2013 and 2014 the article presents comparative analysis of obtaining federal funds by regions for co-financing regional projects. The regions have been rated as per the amount of subsidy and the proportion of federal funding received. The author has independently drawn up a table for necessary calculations and performed relevant computations for drawing conclusions.
As a result the author revealed decrease in average federal subsidy amount against the background of increase in the number of regions. Besides slight reduction of co-financing from regional budgets has been disclosed with the federal/regional funding ratio being shifted to decreasing the federal portion.
