  • The relevance of the research has been substantiated by the fact that in the modern context the process of recovery and further development of agriculture in Russia requires adoption to more efficient agricultural technologies in order to ensure food security. In addition the whole potential in the field of ongoing ecological changes and market variations adaptation has not been used in full yet which in its turn has also deterred the progress in agricultural sector.
    The stated purpose of this article is to study the opportunity of implementation of technical and organizational reformations without prejudice to agriculture development prospect. On the basis of the results of the research the author offers an integrated approach to ensuring food security which provides for forming a comprehensive national support system for environmentally sustainable use of resources. In addition the new approach provides for the use of new technologies and innovations being able to raise productivity, profitability and stability of the activity of farmers.
    In the course of the research the author has used such methods as comparative analysis, classification as well as the systems approach to the investigation of environmentally sustainable methods of agricultural practices.
