  • The research is dedicated to conceptual, theoretical and practical aspects of legal institution of power redistribution among local governmental bodies and the government of the subject of the Russian Federation.
    The prerequisites for the introduction of the legal institution in question as well as the results of expert estimation of its prospects are studied. From the point of view of goal-setting theory, we formulate the main objectives that were the reason for the introduction of the local self-government into the state mechanism of the Russian Federation. Our own vision of the hierarchy of the objectives in question is given. Considering the hierarchy of local self-government objectives, we attempt to assess the prospects of improving the mechanism of power redistribution among local self-government bodies and the government of the subject of the Russian Federation. We also try to forecast probable results of the introduction of the legal institution into modern local self-government system.
