  • The need for more effective methods of human capital management in Russian professional football clubs under modern conditions determines the relevance of the research.
    We consider the key problems connected with human resources management in professional football clubs revealed while implementing “Football Development Strategy till 2016” and study international experience of professional football development concerning human capital optimization.
    Comparative analysis, classification as well as system approach to studying the problems of professional football clubs management are applied in the research.
    We introduce priority tasks to improve the quality of personnel of professional football clubs having analyzed the results of implementing “Football Development Strategy till 2016”.
