  • The article notes that creation and development of a new knowledge-based society not only promotes strengthening the economy effectiveness and its innovation potential but it also leads to further development of social relationships which eventually enables the society to enter a new "technetronic era" with programmable social processes.
    The contemporary knowledge society is being characterized by transformation of science and knowledge into a basic constitutional value of the modern society as well as by increase of science linkage of products being manufactured. Other characteristic features of modern knowledge society deal with creation of national investment systems along with the development of continuing education and enhancement of its quality, they also regard to freedom of expression, to universal access to information as well as to respect of language and cultural diversity.
    The top priorities agreed upon in such a society are the quality of education, the freedom of expression, universal access to information for everyone, respect for cultural and linguistic diversity which not only allow further development of economic indicators but also leads to enhancement of the quality of life and strengthening social relationships.
