  • Problems concerning the legal status of the embryo remained theoretical for a long time before the rapid growth of medical technology resulted in the need to regulate emerging issues. The possibility of using assisted reproductive technologies depends on determining the legal status of the embryo. We consider the key theoretical approaches to determining the legal status of the embryo. The way to protect the embryo in vitro within the framework of international human rights regulations is investigated.
