On Securing Competitiveness of St. Petersburg Hotel Enterprises

We present the main findings of the research of the current state of St. Petersburg hotel enterprises since the beginning of the pandemic of COVID-19. The leading approaches to the definition of competition are systemized; a general characteristic of the working conditions of modern hotel enterprises is given; the influence of relevant factors on hospitality industry is analyzed by the example of St. Petersburg. We distinguish problematic areas and give our own suggestions aimed at increasing the competitiveness of hotels taking into consideration current market situation.
