Monetary Policy and Economic Growth

We characterize the influence of the monetary policy of the Bank of Russia on the economic growth in the country using the indicators of financial depth for 2013-2021. The analysis was carried out taking into consideration the objective processes both in the economy and in the financial and banking sphere that could affect the monetary policy and the financial depth indicators. We present the points of view of various economists concerning promising money supply tools for Russian economy, changes of the regime and aims of monetary policy to secure sustainable and balanced economic growth as well as efficient combination of tools of fiscal and monetary policy.
