Features of the Notion of "Builder" in Russian Legislation

The article examines definitions of the notion of a "builder" presented in the current Russian legislation; the paper draws attention to the non-complience of some of them with basic criteria established for the builder by the Town Planning Code of the Russian Federation. The study reveals relationship between the term "builder" with the content of such notions as "investor", "customer", "contractor". The authors conclude, that the builder, along with performing its main function - providing construction on the parcel of land belonging to it, can also perform functions of all the said entities, including all at once.
