  • The article discusses variety of approaches to the study of corruption related issues being undertaken by national economic sciences. A conceptual scheme is proposed for the assessment of corruption on the basis of comparative characteristic of economic system being under the influence of corruption and in the absence whereof.
    The article provides analysis of social and economic characteristics of economic systems subject to transformation under corruption influence. The study reviews fundamentals of the methodology for assessing economic loss from corruption.
