  • The article covers the most significant problems that need to be resolved in order to ensure tourism attractiveness of the city of Saint-Petersburg. As is known, inclusive tourism is a subject of tourism accessible for all regardless of limited physical disabilities.
    In this regard the level of the city barrier-free environment has been analyzed with the accessibility of the most popular museums of Saint-Petersburg for tourists with limited mobility having been provided. Besides criteria for the assessment of compliance of hotels with international requirements for disabled tourists accommodation have been introduced.
    The article deals with the most essential matters concerning unsuitability of a number of tourism facilities in Saint-Petersburg (major museums in particular) for disabled people with the relevant facilities accessibility rating being provided.
    The authors believe that by resolving the issues raised one can provide a complete tourist product that will serve the needs of disabled as well as other socially vulnerable people.
